[ Back to Article ]

For your sweetest day like your marriage ceremony or promotion ceremony, you want everythings meaningful and memorable. You need something more unique to make your day special.

Put your baking trays behind and try these Thai sweets.

Celebrate your achievement with some good meaning Thai sweets such as Thong-Ake, Ja-Mong-Kut, Kanom-Chan and Med-Kanoon.

Thong-Ake, the big brother of the “Golden Family” in Thai sweets, means “Number One or The Best”; you can serve it as the symbol of the most preferable person of the organization. The small golden piece on the top of the sweet can impress your guest as they are the special one you invite to celebrate you special day.

Or try the fancy style of Thong-Ake, Ja-Mong-Kut, means “The Top of the Crown or Full of Power”, this sweet always serve on the party when you are raised to the higher job position or give to person you respect to celebrate their achievement. It is served to symbolize successful job as the big boss.

If “Number One” is not enough, you can try to step it up with Kanom-Chan, it means “Higher Position”. In Thailand, they always make this sweet in nine layers because the pronunciation of nine in Thai language is “Kaw” that means “go forward”.

Moreover, if you need to show your thanks to your supporter, Med-Kanoon is the best one to serve them, it means “Supportiveness”.

In your sweet marriage ceremony, you can emphasize how sweet love it is to your guest by serving one of the “Golden Family” as Foy-Thong, the golden threads to bind your heart together. The longer the threads means “The Infinity of Love”.

Thong-Yord and Thong-Yib are also the good “Golden Family” choices. They mean “Pick up money and gold for the marriage life”, your marriage will full of wealthy in the future with this bless.

Even Thong-Ake and Med-Kanoon can be served in the marriage day as the good wishes to be “The One and The Only  in Your Couple’s Heart” and “Having the family support your sweet love all the time”.

Instead of serving just normal cake to celebrate your special day, you can surprise your guests by Thai sweets. Start your meaningful sweet with Kanom-Chan as the base, then decorate with “The Golden Family” such as Thong-Yord and Thong-Yib as the flower on the cake, then simply put Thong-Ake as the center of the attraction and put Foy-Thong and Med-Kanoon around your base as the cream. So easy as pie.
